Hi, I'm Dale Huston, licensed and certified massage therapeutic.
One of my accomplishments over the years has been to--and my endeavors, was to specialized in sports related injuries. I have a video that I put together in 1997 or 1998 dealing with pre- and post-event massage.
Pre-event is to warm an athlete up. By no way does it take the place of their stretching, I always require proper stretching.
Post-event is to break down the body and get them ready for the next day's event by removing the body's lactic acid.
Massage therapy itself enhances the function of joints and muscles. It improves the condition and general body tone and relieves mental and physical fatigue. So, by helping an athlete in the whole spectrum they're ready for the next day's performance.
In my video I use the terminology of "optimum performance level." I request quite a bit of stretching, more than coaches and trainers basically because it is going to help them. Over the years, athletes look for me at sporting events over and over and over.
Call me today to get your body restored!

Benefists of Therapeutic Massage
Massage Therapy
What does massage therapy do? It enhances the function of joints and muscles. Massage Therapy improves circulation and general body tone. It relieves mental and physical fatigues.
My name is Dale Huston and I have practiced massage therapy since 1969. This is a small explanation of the benefits and the advancement of the Science and Art of Massage Therapy, and the therapeutic affect on the body as a whole.
As a client you will always be afforded the utmost privacy at all times.
What is massage therapy? Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes and may include but is not limited to, effeurage, petrissage, tapotement, compression vibration, friction, nerve strokes and over Swedish movements, either by hand or with a mechanical or electrical apparatus for the purpose of body massage. This may include the use of oil, salt glows, hot and cold packs and other recognized forms of MASSAGE THERAPY.
FACE
The average person carries a large amount of tension in the muscles of the face. Temproman-dibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) a condition involving the masseter muscle in the jaw, thought to be one of the causes of migraine headaches can be addressed with massage therapy.
ABDOMEN
Massage acts as a mechanical cleanser pushing along wastes and accumulated toxins and replacing them with fresh blood and oxygenation of the tissues.
FEET
One of the most neglected areas the feet respond to increased circulatory flow and flexibility induced by the soft tissue manipulations of therapeutic massage.
NECK & SHOULDERS
Relief from chronic tightness in the neck and shoulder area caused by stress, poor posture and job related functions.
LOWER BACK
Therapeutic massage applied to the lower back and spine brings relief from stiff, aching muscles attributed to weak tone of the abdominal muscles, muscle strains and muscle imbalances in the pelvic region.
LEGS
Tired legs with muscle cramps and “nervous” twitching are aided by the increased circulation. Athletes, in training appreciate the shortened recovery time brought about by massage therapy.
CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Massage increases the blood supply and nutrition to muscles without adding to their load of toxic lactic acid, produced through a voluntary muscle contraction. Massage thus helps to overcome harmful “fatigue” products resulting from strenuous exercise or injury. Massage can compensate, at least in part, for lack of exercise and muscular contraction in persons who because of injury, illness or age are forced to remain inactive. In these cases, massage helps return venous blood to the heart and so eases the strain on this vital organ.
Therapeutic massage has a tranquilizing effect on the central nervous system. The effects are naturally induced by the body’s own pain killers called endorphins. This is a direct aid in dealing with over stressed lifestyles present in our society.
MASSAGE THERAPY shall not include diagnosis or any service or procedure for which a license to practice medicine,, Chiropractic, or Podiatry is required by law, nor shall it apply to athletic trainers, technicians of physical therapists who act under the prescription or supervision of a person holding an unlimited license to practice medicine or surgery.

Deep Tissue / deep muscle massage mishawaka
Deep Tissue/Deep Muscle is a technique that helps in many ways. It is not a relaxation type massage. It is intended to cleanse the muscle tissue, where as to improve performance, whether it is for an every day activity or a sports athlete, to gain optimum performance levels. I request new clients to do 4 massages in a row, where as one a week times 4 weeks, to gain recovery from their previous activities in life. Another words, I show them how to loose 10 to 20 years off their lives as the way they feel. I simply ask them, when was the last oil change they did with their bodies. Then I stretch their appointments out to once a month as this is just proper maintenance for what we have accomplished. That is the affect my massages have on a persons body. I at this point give them home work with stretching exercises to be done each day till their next appointment. Also after one of my massages so they feel better the next day I strongly suggest they do an Epsom salt bath to eliminate aches and pains from our stretching and massage. Because of my depth there is a lot of toxins broke up that needs to exit the body. Thus the next several days they have a lot more energy, showing them the lose of 10 to 20 years of toxins that prohibited the body from functioning the way it should have except that we are a product of what we eat, breath and drink, thus the poisons in the body.

Auto accident recovery south bend
A standard result of an auto accident is called Whip Lash. The sooner I can start working on someone from this condition the less pain they are going to endure. Starting my process of treatments is done every other day, usually at the same time of day for quicker results. My first treatment is usually 2 hours and then each treatment is accessed by my questions and what I feel with in their muscle structure. The sooner they get to me, means how soon I can have them back to normal, Without any pain from this accident. Usually 10 treatment. If there is some time between the accident and my start of my treatments, then that is gauged by how good they feel before each treatment. The most I’ve ever had was 20 treatments and that was for someone that’s had migraine headaches for 15 years that started after an accident. With all of the toxins from medication over all these years the treatments are re-education to the muscles to do what god meant for them to do, not what they have been doing for the last 15 years. I don’t dispense medication but do suggest how to get rid of it from the body, thus making you a healthy and wiser person from then on. I have acquired my nick name legitimately. They call me “The Man With The Magic Hands” and “The Therapist to The Stars” .

Low back pain mishawaka
Low Back Pain:
In all of my years of doing massage therapy I’ve found a positive way to access and figure out a person’s problem when they say they have low back problems also the term of sciatica. Sometimes these conditions mean lots of excruciating pain. I have a way to access the problem and with knowing what I’m looking for, how to correct the condition. At this point I stretch the psoas muscle till it stretches out. When clients come to me with these problems it also brings the medical into being as they most generally are taking if not one but several pain killers and muscle relaxers. I first want the client to get rid of these as soon as possible upon leaving my treatment room so the body can get back to normal. At this point I instruct them on several stretches that usually within 48 hours of my treatment even the most severe are home free of pain. I have them come back usually 2 or 3 days later for my follow up just to make sure their body has accomplished what we set out to get done and they are doing the stretches right. Then the next treatment is scheduled a week later, then another week later for the forth session, then a month later so to put them on a schedule that their body recognizes and from then on if they stay with me it just becomes a maintenance program once a month.
